Perk Up... You've made it to Nevin Street.
FEATURED COFFEE
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS.
Choose Wisely.
1. Use freshly-drawn, COLD filtered water. Great water makes great coffee.
2. Choose your coffee filter preference; natural brown, oxygen-whitened, or gold mesh filter for your coffee maker.
3. Use 1 heaping tablespoon of freshly ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water. Adjust the coffee for personal preference.
4. Brewed coffee should be removed from heat source and transferred to a pre-heated thermal carafe, immediately after brewing.
5. Clean all coffee equipment
after each use.
DRIP-BREW.
1. Using a coarse grind, put one rounded tablespoon of coffee per 6 ounces of water to be used, into the bottom of the carafe. (To determine the size of the French Press, refer to the number of ounces on its box).
2. Use freshly-drawn COLD water and heat to near boiling (about 200 degrees is perfect!).
3. Pour water over the grounds filling up your French Press until desired amount of coffee is brewed. Gently give a quick stir with a wooden spoon to evenly saturate the coffee.
4. Place plunger lid on top of glass carafe and push plunger to the surface of the coffee. Brew up to 4 minute, press plunger all the way down,
and serve all of the coffee immediately.
FRENCH
PRESS.
1. Open Chemex Filter (front side should have 3 layers).
2. Place 1 tablespoonof regular or medium grind coffee per 5 oz. cup of coffee in filter.
3. Use freshly boiled water (200 degrees).
4. Pour a small amount of water over grounds-- just enough to wet them. This allows the grounds to "bloom" and release the wonderful oils and elements of the coffee.
5. Wait a moment, and pour the remaining water in sets, soaking the grounds each time,
but keeping the water level well
below the top of the chemex.
CHEMEX.
1. Boil Water.
2. When water is approaching boiling point, grind your coffee.
3. Place 1 tablespoon of grounds for every 4 ounces of water in your pour-over filter.
4. Cover the grounds enough to wet them-- this allows the grounds to bloom, and to release all of the wonderful things in the coffee.
5. Wait a moment, and begin pouring water in slowly, keeping the water level just above the grounds. Stir in order to make sure all the grounds are covered.
POUR-
OVER.

EVERYONE HAS A NEVIN STREET.
For us, it's where our grandparents have lived for the last 49 years. Our parents grew up on Nevin Street, we grew up on Nevin Street, and our entire family gets together on Nevin Street. Coffee has always been big with our family, and over the years has earned the nickname 'Nevin Street Coffee' among friends and relatives-- mostly due to the fact that everyone in our family likes good, quality coffee.
So. We wanted to do something to honor what that household, that family, and those friends have meant to us over the years...
Hence the name Nevin Street.
It is as much a tribute as it is a symbol of what we think coffee should be and what it can be. We think it's amazing how a pot of coffee can bring people together. Yes, we sell coffees, but the real heart of our idea is about the community, warmth, and atmosphere that Nevin Street has always provided to us.
WE WANT TO SHARE THAT.
YEP. WE DO THAT.
